Jackson Civil War Roundtable

The purpose of the Jackson Michigan Civil War Roundtable group is to
promote, stimulate and share interests in all aspects of the American Civil War time period,
hosting interesting monthly programs and support for local and national preservation projects
through awareness, correspondence and action.
The Jackson Civil War Roundtable meets at the
Jackson District Library, 2699 Airport Rd, Jackson, Michigan 49201
every 2nd Wednesday of each month, September through June at 6:30 PM.

On 15 December 2017 in honor of his unending devotion to performing living histories as Colonel William Herbert Withington
and establishing the 1st Michigan Infantry Company B, a field promotion was issued to the rank of
brevet Brigadier General for Thomas Herman Slater, DDS
and he was given a final salute upon closing of the burial vault.
